More info? what sort of truck is it going into? what size tyres are you running?
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

13bt's are pretty good. Huge though could be a tight fit

For a reliable engine that has plenty of power and won't let you down you can't go past a GAS TURBINE ex Air NewZealand, about the only one that I can think of that ticks all your box's,

HOW LONG WAS THAT PIECE OF STRING,

yeh i think 13bt are tough as but i wanted something with a bit more grunt. it will be a landcruiser 95ish swb. i don't mind the cost just want reliabilty as well as power. if i go turbo im screwing my odds with reliabilty right??

Will the running gear on a 95 surf handle the torque of a V8?
What about an LS1 or Lexus V8?
When it's, "wired" up well or correctly there's nothing wrong with the fuel management on them. Reliable AS!
And if you run it everyday it won't suck through the gas like the old school V8's do.

As above
The 1KZ is a great motor and very reliable other than the usual head issues, if you have a lead foot or lug the motor.
I have done 140 ooo ks in mine, now reading 210K. At 150k I replaced the head, however if I had ripped the EGR system off it when I got it, it is likely that this would not have been an issue.
I also am partial to towing trailers at 140ks!

Plenty of torque, the turbo spools up nice and low which suits off-roading and they are reasonably economical. With a few weee ee tweaks they are an even match with the 1UZ in terms of power & torque. This has been proven in jet boats that are twins other than the motor.

Theres nothing wrong with the 1kz-te mate as long as you look after it it will look after you. For their size they have awesome power and torque, and todays turbos are rather reliable.

Eventually i will be replacing my 2l-te with a 1kz-te intercooled engine when i have $$$ and time
