Been tracking down some forced induction ideas and prices for the weesy old N/A TD42.
Its not a comp truck, I don't want 500hp, I don't want to spend $2500 on an injector pump, or a water to air intercooler........
I just want a little help to turn the 36" Centipedes both off and on road. I need to retain the legendary Patrol reliability for the random middle of no where places I like to end up.
There's some horrible shit out there when you start looking!!!!
Some interesting ideas too
This has caught my attention recently and I keep coming back to it:
http://dsrturbo.com/product_info.php?pr ... 05da8b158bSounds like they have put a little bit of R&D into the turbo performance spec's, it puts full boost right in the middle of where the engine is making its best power in standard trim.
The manifold looks nice in the photo, should keep the turbo tight to the block and away from the battery.
I'm keen to hear opinions on the spec's listed on the site!!
What do ya reckon about the turbo and spec's??
Have you heard of anyone thats used one??
Remember I'm not after monster competition hp, just a small reliable increase so I don't hold up the B.Trains on hills
