
235,000k's of open road driving showed up with a noisy 5th gear. Clutch and fly wheel etc are fawkn MINT still. Its amazing the difference between a Jap import and a NZ new Vehicle thats done long open road k's!!!

meatc wrote:Hate to bring bad news. When my old terrano lost 5th it had broken the 5th gear off the main shaft. When you get it rebuilt use high quality roller bearings. Nissan used ball bearing ones and occurding to the now retired gearbox guru that did mine that was the problem with the box. Mine was a completely different box ofter the fix and never gave me greif again.
