Yeah, it was only in the hundreds. Fitting a cromoly CV (fell off the back of a truck up Totara St :D ) to the short side to combat the occasional breakage there somehow made the long side grenade itself regularly with very little provocation.

We had a great time though, big thanks to the Mainlanders for laying on a cool event. Fortunately we went ok on the Sunday stages where the North vs South Challenge (most points between us 3 NI trucks & the SI's nominated 3 best) was decided so we did get one trophy.

Congratulations to Tim, Glen, Aaron & Doug on their challenge class placings, hopefully their awesomeness hasn't scared away any SI boys from coming north for a few comps :D & bloody well done to Karl & Trev who came in 4th in a vehicle with way less power, winch speed or suspension bling than most of the field.

There are some good pics on that site, pity there's not a cheap option of just getting emailed a few .jpgs

Cheers
Clint

If it breaks, build it stronger.
If it doesn't break, drive it harder.

The TV footage of the winch challenge will screen over 4 episodes – starting with episode 232 which should be about 2 weeks away on 4WD TV - Stratos (Sun nights on Freeview, not sure about SKY)

DVD’s will be available for sale hopefully sometime soon. The DVD will include all four episodes, then raw footage to fill the disk....

I've been told 4WD TV has moved the time-slot. Now Sun at 4:30pm on Stratos

I believe the next one or two episodes are on the Malaysia Rainforest Winch Challenge - then 4 episodes from the Top of the South...
