5mge tacho install? in surf

anyway ive got a ln60 surf with a 5mge supra motor, now im trying to hook up a autometer tacho, do i have to get the signal of the coil? or of the ecu? iv tryed searching but had no luck, and i cant see a tacho output on the 5mge ecu pinout

Hi is it a red surf with coons in the back? if it is i ran a wire up in behind the gauge cluster think i left it cut with insulation tape.

Get a V6 surf dash and wire it up to the factory one..... Thats what a mate of mine did. Pretty straightforward I gather.
