choice of 3?

Post by dave44 »

My 2003 Ford Courier is in need of new tyres. Ive narrowed my choice of tyres down to 3. 1) Hancook RT03. 2) firestone destination M/T. 3) Bridgestone Dueler 673. Does anybody have any advice? Thanks

either the Bridgestone or Firestone

curious to know how you ended up with those 3 as your final decisions

is it price based or wear based or performance based or something else :?:

Price. I can get a good deal on the Brigdestones. Cant find any firestones plus i hear they are not great on wet roads, and the hancooks are a little dearer.

Firestones are bad on wet roads and get low mileage. Duelers seem to be alrite, but Id go the Hancocks. everybody will have diff opinion though.

Don't get Destinations, they are a dangerous tyre. Shouldn't be legal with their performance in the wet.

Funny what people say about the firestones. I have the Destination A/T on my work ute (think 4x4 rodeo with disco lights on roof) and they are so much better all round than the Bridgestones that were on it. Quieter, better in the wet, better off road and have worn better (more ks) to the point I was considering the MT version for my own courier, reading the above guess not :?
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

sorry guys the firestone destination mt not made anymore. some stores may still have a few in stock. have fitted plenty of the mts and have had no complaints on them. my choice personally would be the bridgestone 673.

cheers jono

OK, I just read back thru thread

cheap bridgestones you say

what kind of driving and terrain are you doing

if its not too muddy, then have a really good look at the bridgestone 604

only made in limited sizes, but a bloody awesome tyre than wont let you down
