Hi all,

Another accommodation option is available. also at the rugby club. You could rent a caravan for the weekend. Paul Rhodes has made some inquires.

AA Caravans, Pukekohe would deliver vans to Onewhero Friday morning and remove them Monday morning.

The vans have a double and 2 single beds, cooking facility, no cutlery and if requested can supply awnings (which they will put up). The rate for the weekend is $150.00. If you are interested you can book online via their web site aacaravans.co.nz

And Raymond Leemeyer Truck 60 has entered.

Now that 4X4 Challenges 2010 Rules for 2010 have been published, we will be using those for the event. Check at www.4x4challenges.org.nz

Manukau Supplementary rules allow for wire in Club Class (for the last time).

Timetable will be updated to allow for vehicle checks on the Friday where possible.

All this will be confirmed and the competitors packs will be sent out at the end of next week.

Hi Mike,

Master kill switch is not required for Club Class (excluded in supplementary rules).

Seat belt for all vehicles must be minimum 3 point harness as per 4X4 Challenges rules. This is not a lap and diagonal seat belt. It is a full harness with an anchor point on each side of the lap and at least one other anchor point behind the shoulders to secure the upper body. The two vertical straps of the harness may use this one anchor point.

The rule is as follows:

17.3 A minimum of a three point seatbelt harness shall be fitted for both the Driver and Co-driver for all
competition stages in addition to the vehicles normal seat belts. The belting shall not be frayed or
damaged. Harnesses must be adequately secured and the shoulder straps attached at a safe angle not to
exceed 45 degrees from the horizontal plane of the shoulders.

No particular approval is required.

Hi guys,

I will be at either the farm or the rugby club all day Friday and I intend having the rugby club available for camp setup from about midday. Access to the building will be some time later in the day. If, for some reason I am not around and you are tenting, please give consideration to others who may bring caravans and may need power.

Darin and George will start vehicle checks when they are set up on Friday afternoon.

Also, as I have reached the maximum numbers and have no-one on a waiting list, I have decided to waive the late entry fee to encourage more entries in case a competitor needs to withdraw before the event. Any one on a waiting list who doesn't end up competing will of course receive a full refund.

Sounds like we should be down there friday afternoon to set up, instead of trying to set a tent up early saturday morning :)

Hi all,

We finished track setting today (fine weather helps). Now I have finalised the stage layouts I can complete the competitor's pack.

I will send the competitors pack to the email addresses on the entry forms (probably tomorrow night). A link to M4WD will be on this site probably on Monday.

A spectator pack will also be linked at that time.

Come on next weekend (with fine weather).
