yup, went to see the semi professional crew about lunchtime

no vulcaniser and i doubt they would know how to do it either
Matt said he would just put a tube patch behind it

your best bet would be to get hold of mudy1 and get him to do it, I'm assuming hes gonna get it done at south pacific tyres and they been doing vulcanised sidewall repairs for years, but it wont be pretty

otherwise buy me the gear and I will do it for you

I asked the same question about repairing sidewalls at rallywoods on saturday, quite a few people said that Firestone Upper Hutt can repair sidewalls.

All sorted, gave it to mudy1. Messy or not, at least I can use it. Will cuck a photo up when I get it back if its a half decent job so you can see what final product looks like.

I think that you will find that Firestone send it away to Palmerston North or Napier as they don't do it in Wellington. You have to be registered to do it and to the best of my knowledge no-one in Wellington is.

I didnt realise vulcanising was that specialised! Plenty of the tyre places up here do it. Would have thought there would have been plenty down in Wellington!
