indentifying a terrano clutch

Post by grytvikken »

Hi have an old terrano D21 2.7 turbo deisel that I am putting back together and I have found that I have misplaced the clutch pressure plate and was wondering if there are any means to identify a pressure plate off a turbo from one off a non turbo 2.7....
I have a wrecker that may have one but is not sure as he has pulled apart both a turbo and a non turbo.
This vehicle is just going to be used on a property and i anm not keen on spending $500 on a clutch kit for it if i can find a good 2nd hand unit. cheers

I know you can get a normal duty and a heavy duty type for them but I'm not sure if there were any differences between turbo and non turbo.

If its only a farm hack (?or similar) would it really matter?

I have been told that it does and if I put a non turbo one in it will slip? It will be used to drive to and from town occasionally so reliability is a consideration

imo ,you're better off going new;

Worth getting flywheel machined too.

Cheers.
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!
