Hilux rear disc conversion

Has any one done this? Just wondering what callipers and discs you used to make the conversion simple?

I did a search, but couldnt find anything.

My next stupid question, whats a rear locker worth? and wheres the best place in AKL to get one from?

How is that thing going anyway, I havn't renewed my sub to the mag yet so havn't seen any update

Too much time working (here now at nearly 1am) and not enough time playing with toys. Its geting there, but stil got a long way to go. The body has been off the chassis since around xmas!

lol thats been a while,
here is a place to get yaself a lokka, you'll pay $799 in NZ so its worth it, a few guys here have used these guys, use there Air freight option.

i think the rear disk set up from and izuzu wizard will al most fit with a bit of moding

Are Wizard brakes the same as Mu?

Wizard brakes are the same as 1996 on MU's - earlier ones are totally different.

No, been there with the Wizard/MU ones... the rotor might nearly fit but thats about it.

Also, those setups are for an internal drum handbrake assy inside the disc rotor itself, nothing like the Hilux axle. However... If you wanted 4.5 diffs then just fit a Wizard or MU axle under the Lux... bingo.

ok, Maxima callipers and Hilux discs it is. Watch this space (as im bound to get stuck! :oops:
