my boss has brought a l200 ute and wots to go out to the mac on sat some time.

ill give him one thing he said he wont go on his own.

thingin it will be a niceeasy drive just to see how he goes.

everyone has to start somewhere and with someone to help, so just take him out and let him lead, pull him out when he needs it if he asks for advice give it.

Maybe try and pull another couple of people from here to go with you, might make it more fun for him. Seems like quite a few in CHCH that 4WD.

Any good boss can keep work and personal seperate, but if he can't worst case is that if something bad happens you get fired, if he has an awesome time then you get a pay rise. But more than likely somewhere in the middle of that:-)

ya not a fool and ya wont lose ya job or embarrass the bloke..

it'll give ya's a common binding thread to whittle away the hours at work over too..

probably best if you lead and let him follow. let his confidence grow and get used to his vehicle. then ya already placed to tow if needed. he'll learn from watchin you go through the hazards.

Just thoght i would let you know, the mac has been pretty flooded last few days so might want to stear clear of the river corssings :) about to head down soon and check out whats going on, im sure you and your boss will have a good time

go out & have some fun.... ive gone out 4wding with my manager a few times... no drama what so ever.... even got him to come out to the protest last weekend.

Why the Waimak mate? Why not the Ashley 4wd track...it's got axle twisters, water crossings that you can choose or not...and it's got less mud (I hate cleaning off that stuff).

Ashley is easier on your seals too...that fine mud kills them

yea i trought that too.

after a good lookin around is truck we stayed on the east stuff. he had a ball. i got stuck on a very small rise.

but latter in the day he climbed up a nice hill with some nice big wheel holes. he smart man learnt were to place his wheels.

i deepest we got was about 100mm, and when i saw the colour of the river we both said nar.

willl be sendinghim to 4x4Acc for somes hooks

So what were you driving tallsam? I was there to...went for a 'tiky tour' downstream afterwards with al's mob :wink:
