I think you said something about parking off on the grass to the side or something so we're not blocking the entrance or the road

Its pretty much a shiney trip so there wont be any difficult terain to drive, its mostly a formed track all the way around and a couple of sandy bits, theres one wideshingle fan accross a creek (200-300m) that washes out and it can be a bit slow and bumpy picking a route accross it, as far as what to bring, there arent any shops or petrol stations so you can work out what to bring from that and the weather can be anything from scortching hot to torrential wet and its exposed coast so it can blow inside out

Kingpin wrote:hey just wondering what you guys carry as far as your first aid kit?

im going on the Wellington trip this weekend and want to be a little bit prepaired..

cheers

Brett

Usually have at least a couple of emercency boxes stashed but this one isnt an overnighter so any personal FA kit should suffice

Sweet sounds good, we could meet near petone or something.

Is the entrance to Rimutaka Forest Park on coast road and far far down is it?

Anyone got better directions?

How long will it take us to get there from Petone?
