Will be normal right hand thread but generaly are very tight.
Theres usualy an inspection plate somewhere you can remove to lock the flywheel up and swing like hell on the bar.

some cars have small bolts around the inside of the pully that you can undo and that leaves the center part bolting the cam belt pully only allowing you to do cambelt etc - cant remember if suzukis are like this tho.

i thought there was 4-5 smaller bolts not one big nut. i can have a look on mine tomorrow morning if you are still stuck. i loosened the smaller bolts before i loosened the alt / pwr steer belts. the friction from the other two belts helped.

I recall 4 bolts (may be 5) too on the lower fan belt pulley. Take them out and then the plastic cambelt cover can be removed. The big centre bolt is to remove the cambelt pulley, which you dont want to do (dont need to do unless you are doing the front seal as well) .

I always just whack a long strangbar on the nut, bottom it out on the chassis rail and give the key a flick. pops most of them first go.
I did a cambelt on a pajero Io recently and with it it 4th with foot hard on brake there was no chance of moving the damn thing.

did the old starter flick trick and it came undone first go
