PTO Winch clutch actuator

Post by Muzza »

My mate has been trying to track down a replacement item for the clutch on a GQ PTO winch which he saw advertised on TradeMe some time ago . It is a machined housing that replaces all or part of the standard engagement hub and converts the standard action to just a simple push/pull action which can then be rigged up to a ram so it can be worked remotely.
He thinks it was advertised on TM by muddyasracing ???.
Apparently Brian Howat had some units down there at one stage - but not any more.
Any info on this or on how others are rigging their PTO's up so as the clutch can be worked from inside the cab would be much appreciated.
:?:

Cheers

Hi Euan ..... am just posting this for Peter R
It's amazing what a little friendly "teams winch challenge" does for getting the motivation rekindled for doing some of these things.

I haven't seen it myself but apparently it is. All or part of the standard hub is replaced with this other one that replaces the standard rotating action to that of a push/pull one to engage/disengage it.
:? ?? If that makes sense .... bit of the blind leading the blind here
