4wd light

Post by challengerguy »

Hey all!

I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Challenger. Its a great truck and I use it at the beach and go off roading in it every so often.

However I have encountered a problem...
When I put the truck back in 2wd mode again (2h) the lights that show when its in 4wd mode blink(I do not know the name of it). Sometimes these lights dont blink in cases such as on a cold start. Only this causes grinding noises to occur when moving. You can stop the grinding noises by stopping the car which causes the lights to blink.

please help!

thanks

Try a google search for flashing 4wd light in a challenger. I seem to recall this being a problem with mitzi's. Or try a search on here first.

Hope this helps :-)

Yep thats the best article. Start by looking at the solinoids under the bonnet near the air filter, they are usually the ones to stop 1st.
