Labour Weekend - Far North

Post by phraza »

Hey all, heading up to Paihia/Russell for Labour weekend, and planning on heading up to the top for a day or two, haven't been up there in years and years!

Looking at going down 90mile beach etc. Is Te Paki Stream still the fun place it used to be?

Cheers

I'm hoping to get up there around Jan sometime. Haven't been down Te Paki in about 3 yrs but was fun last time for sure  Only a short drive and really shallow but the water travels down there fast - wouldn't want to stall in it for long...

Cool. I've not done any 4x4ing round the top there but imagine there would be some fun tracks (if you can get locals consent) leading to some great beaches or fishing locations... Summer BBQ lunch and a fish - ohhh... I'm excited already
