top form kbjj! nice form on ya first event..

was a great event.. never fails to please both the fans and drivers i would say.. i enjoyed myself immensely, my coey didnt like a one particular steep drop off bank.. think it was hazard three.. lmao

truck came through it pretty well. only damage on the day was a blown fan fuse and two hits with the crc in the distributor cap in the arvo session.. new fuse, away i went.. first session it went well, no problems..

only got a few vids of quality as my daughter was vid chick for the day.. i'll educate her on decent camera duties later.

should've fanged it but botched it good and proper. self recovered though..

I thought you and kbjj did faaaarken well!
Good effort boys.

I did better than the last event (Timaru winch challage, second to last).
So I was happy.
It was an awesome day out for everyone I thought.
Big ups to the organizers and marshals.

My effort on hazard 1.

I should be cleaning my truck. Bob ok by the looks, how was his truck? I went out right on that stage as was told someone rolled there.
Thanks Jason, didn't really think I would beat you, but happy I did :D Absolutly wrapped how my truck performed. Co-driver didn't squeel, but apparently he quietly shat himself more than once  .
A few pics my wife took. She only took pictures of our truck

Stage 3 ... I think

Stage 5 ... it was different 2nd time round  ... last stage before lunch.

Nice vid pete, Yeah that drop looked a little steap for me, as I couldn't approach it how I wanted, so went to the right.

Great day out there. Missed most of the morning action but enjoyed the arvo.

Got a few shots but couldn't see my crappy cameras screen in the sun so didn't bother taking many.

One of the 1st things I thought as truck lay on it's side was, I knew I should have asked Scott to wind his window up. Jo did a good job, I'll keep her on

It was clear that driver skill and technique was a big factor on the day with some of the less modified trucks doing better than the big dollar machines on occasion.
Other than that it was hard to say what mods were really the difference between making a stage and not.
I'd say the Simex/Silverstone tyres seemed to work the best but other than that does anyone have any comments on what were the crucial mods on the day? Plenty of power seemed to work well for some people but then the little Zuk and the hard top series 3(?) Landy which sounded like a 4 cylinder both went very well with minor mods.
