Keep Your D/C Hiluxes! Im Getting A F100 4X4 Then!

Post by zephyrheaven »

Ive had it, cant believe some of the prices these poor old half a million km hiluxes are going for

Had a thought - why settle for an underpowered , uncomfy wee toy when I could get myself a big old truck instead

Any leads out there - bugger all 4X4 yank trucks down here f/s at the moment

Something like this please YUM!

Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

Do it! was considering it myself, wanted another ute and love old american utes. Was about 5-6 4x4 F100s on Trademe bout a month ago.Was a cheapish red one around timaru if i remember rightly. Only problem I could think of was trying to keep them on some of our tracks, I reckon Safaris are almost too wide for some of them.
Softroader VW Amarok nowadays....

I havent really seen many for sale of that vintage, but you may get more joy out of OZ on ebay or something as I found this on tardme that originally came from OZ........

that '79 XLT looks nice, nah cant do a bronco I reckon - hard to fit dirt bikes on the roof thing? tray way more handy

hilux = way overpriced, mind you - Ive been known to get the odd bargain (my VX for example lol)

VX could go if the right effie comes along, worries me about track width for sure as I like going on the odd day trip round these parts, but I could live with it I guess lol
