Mid week rescue

Post by downunderxj »

On the way home from the grocery shopping in Upper Hutt my wife spotted a vehicle in the river under the Silverstream rail bridge @ 8:15 pm tonight. So we went and checked on them, sure enough a family in a Toyota stuck up against the bridge pier, as I only had my wife's car I told them I would be back in 10 minutes with the Jeep.

Managed to tow them backwards onto a gravel island where he was fortunate enough to get it all running again, one happy man - he very generously gave my son some money for a few beers, when we got home we realised it was quite a few beers.

A big thank-you to whoever he was, just helping out someone in need.

I will probably get in the shit for doing it, but I dont give a rat's arse about that. Any good press we can get I will grab.

Its for the greater good of 4wding and the club scene.
