hilux handbrake cable

Post by red_dog »

most probably a ridiculously stupid question but i need to ask it anyway!
tryna change my handbrake cable all is well Except ill be buggered if i can figure out how to clip the cable off the actual handbrake lever in the cab, on the lever there is a stud type thing that looks like stops the lever from sliding all the way out when you pull on the handbrake, im guessing this has to be removed to change the cable?
like i said stupid question!

ohh yeh its a 95 ln106 dc

theres 2 springs things that hold the internal rod from coming further out and allowing you to change the cable

pull the top spring up and push the internal rod down further. then you can see how the cable comes out
