Hi,Does anyone know of an online manual site,like the haines etc..
I know the toyota boys have such info online,do we?? :?:

they have sites where if u dont mind paying 4 it u can download it or buy it on disc :roll:

no its actualy cheaper to either d/l or buy on disc
but i preffer to get the books and photocopy wt i need so they dont get ruined

Hi Shane,Iv'e just bought the Safari so i need to know almost everything..
Just handy for us backyarders :lol:
A true newbie question though,if you will..
Front Hubs-- Auto / Lock Auto???????? does it itself??
sounds straightforward but are they. :oops:

Sorry for sounding rude here, but wouldnt it be cheaper to as you say, d/l or buy on disc then print off what you need, than photocopying from the expensive book?

Hiya, new to the forum,

I have a Nissan Factory workshop manual for the GQ, only 4.2 donkey though (I have the 2.8t)
Im also in Chch so if you'd like to have a look at it, Im sure we can come to some arrangement.

when you select 4wd the hubs well/should lock by them self when in auto position and unlock once you go back to 2wd mode.
If you are out 4wding it pays to turn them to the lock position so there is no chance of them coming out/unlocking.Sometimes in heavy mud when going back and forward to get through they can unlock/lock/unlock etc when in auto position which is not ideal under heavy load.
I have auto only on my truck,one of the things I hope to up grade at somestage,good thing is I just select 4wd and contiuo to eat my pie and drink my V :D with out having to getting out..........

Elmo,you sound like my man..I have a TD42 so some photocopying would be excellent if you did not mind..

Shane..Thanks for that,Its nice to know Nissan likes to look after their drivers...Vented Diffs,autolocking hubs,gear ratios that the 33's didnt alter..where does it stop. 8)

Funny it was u2 Toyota boys who pointed out all these excellent features..Does make me wonder why toyota left these out :wink:
I suppose to give you guys something to hassle Nissan about,not much else you can eh :lol: 8)
