Red Toyota MR2 mk1 stolen in Dunedin

Post by baxter »

Red Toyota MR2 mark 1 (AW11), T-top, facelift (ie with factory spoilers and skirts), and "Handling by Lotus" badges.
Reg SX8758, VIN: 7A8H60K0794112560, Chassis: AW11-0112560

Non-runner (though could be easily made to run), so probably towed/trailered some time in the last month from a lock-up in the Dunedin North area (near the Regent 24 dairy).

Ring the police (reference is '6937401') or call me on 021-1146-753.

Edit: here's a crappy picky off GoogleMaps:

If per chance the thief is reading this, please pop it back in the lock-up this week and no questions will be asked. And it'd also be awesome if you didn't crank the engine over it has a mystery knock.

haha i remember a mate of mine jumping up on the bonnet of an mr2 EXACTLY the same as that one night in hamilton and draining the lizzard on the windscreen/roof....

no less than it deserved....

check with local council, they deal with abandoned cars and it may well have been found or noted by the public...

ah so it wasnt some joyriding kids.... I would go to every persons house that knew it was in there, and then follow them to their mates houses (without them knowing of course), time consuming yes, but it may just lead to your car :)

Yeah, extremely unlikely to be a random. Especially as it wasn't running.

I can account for 90% of the people that knew it was there, but some mates of a guy that had stuff in there are potentially a bit sus. Police will be chatting with hopefully be chatting them.

Sadly 90% of the street's population have just f-ed off after exams so I'm going to struggle to find any witnesses.

naturally as it was in storage I'm pretty sure I'd canceled its insurance. :(
