Post by nzutv4x4 »

4WD driving instructor Duncan Munro has just finished writing his book, “ A Farmer’s Affair The Legend of the Land Rover Icon”. The book based around the 60-year history of the basic Land Rovers and the 46-years of his personal stories growing up around them and driving them.
The book has just gone into print and should be available from mid January on. 1000 books are getting printed on the first run and will sell out fast.
At present, four magazines for their December issues are reviewing it (two 4WD and two lifestyle) and their initial quick comments back are favourable. So look for the review in next months 4WD mags. NZ 4WD & Sport Vehicles is one of the magazines.
The book itself is Hardcover, high quality paper and print and will retail for $50 including gst plus $6 for P&P. You can pre-order now and if you pick the book up from Duncan’s 4WD Park, “Pukerau 4WD Ltd” you get the $6 back.
You can find out more info from his website http://www.pukerau.co.nz/container.html or just email him at

Mike, it is a pity about just missing Xmas, but this one is worth the wait.
I got the above book delivered today and can say, that if a Land Rovers, farming, Army life or 4WD's are in your blood, you have to check out this book. I’m only basing this on the book itself so far and the many photos it contains, because there is lots of reading to get through. I did read a bit about the Land Rover Forward Control, fascinating. The book has a good feel to it, a real X factor.
I’ll start reading it now and nah, she’s not getting lent out after I’m finished.
