terrano diff

hi guys iv just brought 96 pr50 terrano to put my boat in and out of river but have discovered very quickly that it has a open rear diff.does any1 know if the earlier d21 lsd diffs bolt in,as there seem to be a few around?any help would be greatly appreciated as dont want to pull to pieces to find out the hard way that it dont work!

see if you can find the diff code and i could compare it to the navaras or look at cheap locker.

it says hg43 on i.d plate?presume that diff code?also do you know what the auto-hubs r like in these trucks?

It is an H233b diff with 4.3 ratio gears. I have one sitting here with LSD that will bolt in. The only issue at some stage they changed to 33spline axles and I think your model Terrano has drum brakes on the rear. The one I have is out of a D21 and has discs and 31 spline axles.

yea its got drums.wud any d21 hg43 diff fit?same swaybar,shockie mounts etc?im in southland so prob bit costly to ship across the island.any idea what auto-hubs are like on these?

Iv never had a problem with the auto hubs myself, but I know some people have. Depends how you drive I guess
