Surf Rims Offset...-19 ok??

Sorry if this is in the wrong place feel free to move mods if iv put in the wrong spot.

Just wondering if a -19 offset rim will fit on my 1993 surf.
I know its a bit more than the factory (-8?? from memory).

So after many pages of searching i "think" the -19 will fit but still not 100%

Am i going to have trouble with these sticking out to far.
Got a set of rims i want to snap up asap if this is the case.
Some one able to confirm definatly these will fit and not stick out to far??

yep im pretty sure -19 off set is the most offset you can get in 15x8s. And yes it should fit. What size tyres are running?

on my wheels is stamped
: -24 the steel rim type, so -19 will be ok

still flush with guards

Sweet so rims will fit then thats what i wanted to hear.

Tyres im running 31's 10.5 somethings at the moment but will be coming off as are near knackered. Will be getting new tyres although will be same size or 32 at a strech given its standard height at moment.

Any recommendations on the size or the factory size above should be fine?

You could just give it a lift? If its an LN130 just wind the torsions up and put some lifted springs in the back then you could fit 33s. But at standard height I'm pretty sure you could fit 32s.

What engine does it have though?

I could do a lift and do plan to but not right now, need tyres in the next month for wof after xmas so will have to get whats going to fit under there in the mean time.

Its got stiffer rear dobi (i think) springs to get rid of the sag they tend to have, and had shocks all round replaced at some point.

Do you generally get away with lifting say 50mm without replacing shocks??

Mate tried -24 on his 1996 prado which i believe has identical running gear. He found they did not fit due to the ridge at the back on the rim.
In the end -10 was the only size that fitted.
Of course a different make off steel rim may fit and the surf may be different to the prado.

15 inch rims won't fit Prado/185 unless the offset is huge, like -50.
130 will fit 15 x 8 -19 or -24 no worries. To fit 32s on -19 or -24 rims I think a small guard cut at the rear bottom and a bit of hammer work is required. 0 offset rims might work with no cutting/hammer work.

I did get those rims and they fitted perfect which im stoked about looks heaps better than factory rims!!
