just wanting to know how hard it is to swap from a 2lt to a 1kzte

Never done it but use the search forums option on the right hand side, topics been covered a few times before.

Bugger, i no its been talked about before.

From what ive read in the past, gearboxs dont match so would have to get gearbox from kzn surf, would need ecu and loom, radiators etc etc not just a straight swap.

Could also go for manual deisel pump which would cut out most your wiring isues but arnt generaly cheap to have built.

Best bet would be to find a crashed/rolled surf and swap engine, box, loom and anything else you need over or just buy a factory 1kz surf.

A mate just did one, he just brought a hole surf that was no longer road legal and swaped the loom, eng, trans and all over. Other than cutting the engine mounts off the parts surf and welding them into the old 2.4 chassie it was preatty straight foward. Then you come out of it with a spare surf to part up and try recover your costs.
