My Nissan LWB patrol choped

Just Got me a patrol 2 weeks ago, goes great, needs a snorkel asap ha 4.2 use to be a long wheel base cage is great, tyres are brand new winch works well too, too bad open diff front, what lsd could i bolt up the the front? anyone know? only has a 100mm suspension lift could do with body, am new to 4wd kinda, if bored normally head down to the waimak and try some stuff always too easy tho, also need a exhaust made up as its short and loud other than that shes a beast

V6 Pathfinder rear LSD should bolt up to you existing crownwheel and slot straight in. Otherwise Auto lockers can be had for around the $650 - $800 mark or if your feeling really rich an ARB airlocker

100mm is more than enough suspension lift. Anymore lifts the centre of gravity too high and also stuffs up the rear anti squat.

If your thinking about a bodylift then you have a lot of work to do as it looks like the cage etc is chassis mounted so you'd have to rip it all off and basically start again.

um not really that im aware of, some in doors but should be easy to cover up, yeah hopefuly get it certified after new years, havnt had time to take it for wof, mate pointing out that im going to need mud flaps lol needa do few monor things for wof i think but hopefully doesn't cost to much, as have another car to get back on the road again money money, she bloody chews threw petrol i need another daily !

Standard long wheel base he just trimmed the chassis.

rear doors have been shortnd up a bit dave, was for sale a few years back when it was white and back hadnt been finishd.

the rear doors have been cut shorter,which I think makes it look longer.quite a bit of work doing than at a guess

Ah, that explains it. Good old Safari's, looking at selling the 80 series and getting another, LWB turbo this time though

yeah i only just noticed the doors and body had been cut and rewelded up making it shorter, woulda been heaps of work

just a note, cert man usually wont cert body mods like that unless he sees them in bare metal fully welded then painted and finished. May be harder to get wof n cert than you think.

oh and you wont need mudflaps. I have never had problems with anything. Mudflaps aren't required at all.

Says you need mudflaps, but you may get away with it.

Checked in the virm (wof bible) when I built my 40 about mudflaps. I think the only thing that actually needed them was dual wheeled vehicles Ie light trucks with dual rear wheels.
Only need flares or guards covering the tread of the tyre. That includes the side lugs as well
Mustve taken someone hours to chop those rear doors an shorten them, only to sell it without certing an finishing it

Hope not as would have to make wide ones, guess just gona have to take it for wof but want to do it when i have the money for repairs as make the most of the rewof
