Well, I'll be first to do something this weekend!!
Made some progress on the Lux (finally!!) Have fitted the Locker in the front diff, need a replacement pinion shaft as mine was stuffed so just waitin for that
And have the back yard prepped so can remove 30 odd sq meters of dirt this weekend for our new soakpit
Got a Daihatsu Something, hasn't got a Daihatsu engine.... or diffs.... and it doesn't have windows.... or doors.... but its got tyres....
Well last night the guy I was going to get a second hand petrol tank from said he couldn't find the Vitara one he thought he had and only had 6 413 tanks
So this morning ring around places trying to find one and I had to settle for one from Henderson Parts world for 200+gst Not exactly what I wanted to pay for one. Still I needed it quickly and I was sick of repairing the leak on my tank, least I got a spare one now
Came home fitted it all up, packed the zuk already for Sunday club Christmas run to Woodhill
Started pulling the Samurai apart for the "rebuild" and new paint job, will do a build thred soon.Would love to post photos but i dont know how........... .but all good i know someone who knows how, a Suzukisport
Had to fix a major oil leak. Oil return from vacuum pump had burst/split and oil was going everywhere. Lucky I was only a few meters from home. Still ended up losing 2L of oil, most of it up my drive. What a drama trying to find suitable hose on a Sat afternoon. Ended up doing a temp repair till I find a 5/8 - 1/2" 90 degree adapter.

a bit of 4wd today, may of done some steering box damage, and seen a safari go from 4x4 to 2x4 then 0x0, still in there, repair back to 4x2 thursday and tow it out to the road again
Well had a good day at Woodhill, Had about 11 norwest trucks there so it was a good turnout for once. good bbq afterwards too. Thrashed the suzuki a fair bit and its still all mint as.
Found a couple of thigs to do though: Make a decnt battery mount as mine kept moving and when I went to start it would juct click and I would need to wriggle the terminal, Second I need a carb kit on it and before that clean the float chamber. New cambelt/water pump and sometime I might even get a locker
Had my mates wedding yesterday, I sorted out 2 trucks for us boys to use as wedding cars, luckily 2 of us on the bridal party had our HTs, so I drove the Mack Superliner tipper unit and another mate drove the Mack tri axle Trident tractor unit. Heck did we get some looks driving up the main street of Hamilton!! haha

Haha nah it usually tows a 4 axle 40 foot trailer carrying lime, its such a mish to turn with that on!
The axle closest to the back of the cab is a lazy axle and can be put up and down. The two rear axles are drivers though with cross locks on each axle and also a diff lock on the power divider.
Its such a sweet truck shame its only got a Mack E7 470hp engine where as the tipper unit has a Cummins 550hp Dohc Signature engine it goes hard!

Finally got extended breathers installed on the Jimny on Saturday. About time. Headed out to Ashley river on Sunday and had a ball of a time. Was one of the Jimny's in the Suzuki convoy that mickey88 mentioned. I thought i rocognised the vehicles.

Got back and realised that some damage has been done to my front recovery point . Next weekends job is to try to relocate it.
Went to Aucks on Sunday got my Wife her new car. Now I can tinker with that as well
Really need a wheel alignment on the bighorn my fron passengers tyre is starting to wear on the side quite quickly and these are my new M/T's as well so going to sort out my road tyres during the week as I would rather chew them out.
started this in the weekend and finished it tonight so i suppose it still counts, bit of front bar work on the Whale, had no bumpers when i bought it and have always been a bit wary of those exposed front guards so quickly knocked up a little bit of protection
