Turbo problems

Hey i have a LN130 89 hilux surf with a 2.4LTD motor in it.
When im driving just say down the road and i boost it (green light comes on) the motor will stall if i push in the clutch or stop. Then i have problems starting it. Unless im in gear and it will start straight away. Also if i dont use the turbo whilst driving its fine.

auto or manual?

sounds more like a electical fault or fuel starvation issue to me as it runs fine when not demanding so much fuel.

when a turbo stops working...its stops working. there's no in between

Yea have tried diagnostics but nothing showed up.
