My turn 8)

This week has been most productive.

First, I have replaced both broken cross members,

Then I took my girlfriend up Thompson's from the Waikato side. Had a small play on the way down.

second day of exploration on back country roads, went to the end of the road and found forest park sign, took the obligatory flex shot in a waterway

then found an awesome secluded swimming spot with room to pitch maybe one or two little tents, thank god for gps systems and saving favourites

excuse the teeny tiny crappy pics as they came off crappy cell phone :(

p.s. bottom right of shot 3 has the 2wd oops getting too close to the river
so got out and put hubs in and gently reversed out which only just happened

Went upto gum fields (Ahipara) over the weekend with my brother n law and my brother 2x Safari's and my Bighorn (TL) got through no problems on my road tyres but had a few hairy moments.
Damage: Alternator (brothers safari), Broken exhaust (brother n laws safari), no problems with the bighorn but Selector bungs came out of the bighorn on the way back to camp and lost a about 500mls of fluid but still no big deal drove back to Whangarei like that and sorted it out this morning. Didnt have to pay a koha to use the track either.

also I think I saw "mark.griffith" parked up at a flash looking house on my way to the track.

pics to come.

it wasn't on the weekend but have been tinkering on the G for the last few days have decided i need to make some headers that have different exit points. the standard ones interfere with the firewall.
swapped the intermediate drive shaft from yoricks g to mine as my new gearbox is shorter than the old one and the auto that yorick is going to put in his g is longer than the manual which worked out nicely for us also have to remote the oil filter as it was fowling with the chassis. then just have to work out where the exhaust will run and also figure out the engine computer and electrics
my 4wd is not a truck

yep niseko is in japan, haha yeah ive had a few close encounters with trees already, this one came out of nowhere the other day and snatched the camera off my head!
managed to fix it with half a roll of duct tape tho

just amazed at the amount of snow there is here, walking through the car park all you can see of a few cars is their wing mirrors and the tip of their wipers sticking up into the air.

thought i might give this morning a miss from skiing (-18 outside :!: ) so ill try find a few photos to show you guys
