made my mind up going fishing up the coast from lake ferry up to castle point stopping at spots that look promising as i go intend on leaving the saturday 1st 7am ish coming back monday 3rd camp as we go ..

back early come to the conclusion that surfcasting anywhere in the lower north island is shit..... great scenery but shit fishing although got to park where nobody every has im told by the locals even the copper who stopped me on my way out was impressed....

i took the g-parents to castlepoint yesterday for a drive, mint place that! used to go down there with my bro-in law to cast off the rocks behind the lighthouse, i think i just enjoyed the fact that every cast went for ages due to the extreme height!! (never caught anything there thou)
