Front Lokka

was out the other weekend and thrashed the old girl to much.
and blew a cv to bits. now the front lokka isnt working. and a clicking noise when turning.

can see the drivers tyre shudder when clicking starts.
and its a brand new cv

check the lokka pins and spider gear pin maybe chipped the pinion gear i destroyed all of them but cv was sweet...........

lokka maybe still be good its the surrounding bits that are weaker the 4 lokka pins are designed to shear off 50bucks a set of pins and springs

Man !

those cross pins are solid. I'me surprised that broke.

The 4 small pins in my LOKKA shore off when I broke a front hub.
4WD systems and our NZ importer will tell you that the pins will only shear off if the setup clearances are out of spec
BUT ....

my diff is MINT with no wear and all clearances are bang on their spec's and they still shore of.
Anyone else had their pins break even though the diff clearances were within spec

You say your diff has no wear and the clearances are how they should be.
The clearances have nothing to do with the CW & P. It is the diff carrier side clearances that are the issue and these are not necessarily correct for a lokka even when not worn.

only broke once ........note mine in 4 spat one chunk between the lokka and the housing actually dented the housing but lokka sweet

check the pinion gear and lokka pins before getting carried away putting together

yea the pinion gear has a bit of damage but is fine to use just a bit of rounding.

Lokka looks fine

nope tried nissan none in country.
its the spider gear pin.
Has anyone got one floating around

for the cost of a pin from nissan get a diff head off tardme.

I put a 4 pinnion lsd terrano centre in my front diff so ive got a spare centre sitting here :wink:
