LN106 Suspension Questions

Post by timmay556 »

So I sold my old IFS pos hilux and bought a LN106 one.

I'm wanting some more flex to keep up with a mates Patrol  I'm not wanting to go any higher; the standard height is fine with me. Is there a brand of leaf springs and shocks I should look at? I've seen the ones on 4wdbits but they lift the truck 50mm. There is also EFS extended travel shocks are they find to fit to standard leafs? Would it give me extra articulation?

Does anyone know roughly how much a front ARB air locker costs to be installed?

I'll chuck up some pics later

Shesh, tough crowd.

Does anyone know if an IFS 15" rim can go on a SFA hilux?

Na, not a tough crowd, just nissan owners waiting at home for calls from toymotor owners for rescue............again

Have a read through Bulletproofs thread. Lots of good talk about suspension design and may give you some ideas on who to contact about it.

From my POV (  ) look at soft shocks and 30mm lift in the springs and don't forget your grinder is you best friend

Your IFS rims probably wont fit on the front of your new lux unless the offset is big enough. spacers are an option too but im not a fan.

Yep them Nissans kick arse. But they all have their weaknesses.

Na I have a 16" rim and some strange tyre as my spair so I'm wanting to get a 15" rim + spair Tyers so if I blow one out on the track I can get home :)

why wouldnt you want any lift? more wheel travel, better flex, ability to fit bigger tires :?: and if you get a good package (shocks and springs) will most likely drive nicer on road as well
