time for an update, got the front and rear lux diffs mocked into position and i think im happy with the height for now
the straps are playin panhard rod off the tires
front aproach angle is much better

gonna figure out my heights then weld the spring mounts on rather than having adjustys

Re: rear springs for RUF 410
your father inlaw should have a few spare engines of the right cylinder configuration tucked away in stock in the shed
Re: rear springs for RUF 410
Theres'a Vitara LWB carcas at pickapart Epuni - not sure if it's still got the power steering box, but I think so, 'coz I pulled the pressure line off it about 2 weeks ago. Pump is still sitting in the engine bay - but I've got the wee output bracket off it. Didn't need the hose or bracket in the end though, so if you need them... I've also got a pump, bracket and reservoir modded to fit a vitara 1600 16V - just replaced with the bracketry to fit the PS pump AND aircon - bit of a bugger to squeeze into teh Samurai engine bay... so put in a tidier (well, cleaned and painted) pump and aircon while I was at it. Guess if any of that's any use to you depends on what engine you go for... cheers, Terry
Oh, if you're staying Suzuki engined, there's also a 110 amp Falcon alternator I nearly grabbed for a spare - they can be a bit hard to find, and fit the Suzuki engines OK with practically no work.

I looked at the SR20 for mine, biggest prob is the oil pump is around the front of the crank and hangs down alot. With lux axle moved forwards you need to rear sump it and its pretty hard to make the sump shallow at the front. I ended up using a CA18DE and SC12 supercharger, sump is now all but touching the crank girdle up front and nice and deep in the rear. Runs the silvia auto too. There is only 6kgs weight difference between the cast iron CA block and the all alloy SR one.
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed
Re: rear springs for RUF 410
shit i almost had one of those last week but was a ca20, i had a trailer on the back ready to pick it up but the council got there first, the owner got it pink stickered and just bailed on it

Stink, the CA20 only came as a single cam but you can do a hybrid with the head from CA18DE or DET (DE is head is better cause it has longer duration inlet cams)
