diff breather for ln106 hilux

Post by wellsie24 »

i am thinking of installing diff breathers for front and rear diff also transfer case and the gearbox i have seen kits round for about $250 but could do it cheaper can i just use air compressor line and fittings for this and where would i be able to get these parts also where is the best spot for mounting the ends of the air lines i have been told either the firewall somewhere or possibly the airbox/snorkel is it ok to hook into the airbox i know the airbox will be under vacum especially when giving it more gas would this end up in sucking air/water into the diffs through the seals or could i run a airline through the airbox then back up into the snorkel to overcome this

cheers richard

go to a gas fitter and get brass fittings, thread on one end to match your diffs and trans case and 1/4 inch on the other.

go buy how ever many meters of 1/4 hose and some cable ties.

cost max, 5 bucks a fitting, 20 to 50 for the non pressure rated hose.

hour under the truck.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.
