1kzte surging

Hi just recently got a kzn130 surf the engine has started surging at 100kmh and sometimes wwhen taking off from idle, does anyone have any ideas on what itcould be and how to fix it ive just had a career change and have bugger all coin now to take to a garage.

check fuel filter,maybe blocked with diesil bug,etc.also fuel tank breather not blocked

Hi it had new diesel filter put on just before i got it so shouldnt be that ill check the breather etc

i dont want to bring bad news but mine surged when you take off when the dual mass flywheel crapped out, i hope its not mine was in a prado tho)

mine did a similar thing when the dual mass gave out as well.

If the flywheel is leaking oil , its stuffed.
How many km's has it done?

Its an auto should just have a flex plate shouldnt it? its done 130000ks

Probably the efi diesel pump.

not sure aye, mine was a manual, its something to look at tho, cross ya fingers

have you checked / changed the Transmission fluid , flushed it out?
has engine check light come on ?

hey try checking your throttle bodies, myn was surging too and i had a gunked up 2ndary throttle butterfly cleaned it up and ran sweet after that, also check the acuator hose that runs into the 2nd butterfly isnt leaking air/vac.

All sorted now got it fix this week as it got real bad turned out being a temp sensor and a injection resistor/ sensor thingie
