Bullendale / Skippers Creek

Post by Pico42 »

Hi everyone

There is a spot on the track up Skippers Creek that is turning into a wide bog hole because of a spring under the track. The local clubs are arranging to carry out maintenance, but discussions with DoC are becoming protracted.

If you are travelling in there, please stick to the track and not widen this area out any further. Thanks.

If you would like to know more about the curent status of discussions with DoC, feel free to PM me.

Also, if you own the blue 40s Landcruiser wreck (from about 4 - 5 years ago?) off the side of the track, can you PM me as well. Confidentiality assured.

Cheers

Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

That 40 has been there for longer than that. At least 8 years by my count.

Thats good to know. I only became aware of it late last year and was informed then it was 3 - 4 years old.

I very much doubt you will find the owner. One of the oldies I used to go 4 wheeling with down there didn't know whose it was and he's been on the qtn 4wd scene for decades.

Maybe see if there is a chassis number and see if the LTSA will help? Otherwise I'm sure you could report it to the police as an abandoned vehicle and if you could help them get it out, they would deal with it.

I know a wreck was taken out of macetown and handed over to the police a few years back.
