Vitara crown/pinion into Samurai?

Front 3rd member from a vit will bolt striaght in , think from memory that you have to change the side gears for the front axles.
However I would be inclined to install the vit ring and pinion into a samy steel housing instead if the alloy vit one, to do this you need a retianing rIng/ can to retian the side gear shalfts as the vit ring is larger than the samy one
Hope this makes sense, heaps if info on Aus zookers and Zuki world .

As ubz you will need to front diffs . I am pretty sure most diff's you will find will be 22 spline , later ones are 26 spline . This is in the side gears .
The vitara carriers are only 2 spider , I think all 413's are 4 spider and samurai rear are 4 and front 2 .
The ring gear is thinner in a vitara so the carrier is moved over when installed in a 413/samurai housing . I brought in a kit that had the spacer and retaining ring , seemed to go in ok . Next time I may try the budget way , penning the holes where the pinion shafts go in . If you need a better explanation let me know . Have pic's somewhere when I did mine .
Cheers

I've got room if you want; but that depends whether you want it back
