does any body have a contact for roof racks

Post by sig »

hi guys decided its time to replace the old rusty noisy racks on my van .Almost had a heart attack when the price came back ,nearly 1000 bucks .This was for 3 rhino rack aero bar gutter mounts with ratchet tiedowns .If any body has a contact or deals in them and can give me a reasonable price would appreciate it cheers sig

I just got a Pro-rack 3-bar galved roof rack with 150ish sides (cant remember exactly) cost $600ish. The cross bars are just bog standard c-channel stuff so you can use spring nuts to bolt on your conduit holders or extension ladder slidey thingy. I just have two lengths of 25x25 box section running the length of the van and have my 7ft, 3ft and extension ladder on there with a 150mm storm water pipe for chucking pipe/capping in. Got it from the local dealer up here. Must be in in welly's some where.

My current one is a unistrut type one but whistles like a bitch all the time above 100kph ,and am really sick of it .I know the rhino rack stuff is costly but in the interests of my sanity want to get a quieter one .At the moment my conduit pipe is on the top but stops me going into a lot of buildings so the new rack will have longer cross bars and i will put the conduit pipe under the bars on one side .I think standard width is 1500 mm but can get a 1650 mm one .Hopefully will work out.
