LX70 4wd not working.

I went out 4wding last night and found that my landcruiser would not go into 4wd high or low. I think this may be due to the manual hubs not locking in as I accidently forgot to take the hubs out of lock (only for 1/2 an hour or so though after a 4wd trip). The wierd thing is, is that it was working after this incident fine when I took it out a few weeks ago, and also the drive shaft is still spinning. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue or what else to look for?
