WTB: Early cruiser/hilux solid front end

Post by pizzle »

Hi, Im after front axle out of a 60/Early 70 cruiser, or a solid front hilux.

I have a HZJ73 cruiser with the dickie electric hubs that I wish to replace. The swivel joints are in need of a birthday, so I figured if I could get the parts for a reasonable price, Id do a manual conversion while its all in bits. Its the hubs, stubs, and Aisin FWH's that Im really chasing, failing that, they will be in for the "oldblue" conversion. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Oh...almost forgot, Im in Whakatane

I'm wrecking an early hilux which will have all the bits you need. I have done the same conversion on a Prado axle and was planning to keep them as spares.

The front end I have has the "dualmatic" freewheeling hubs. Known more commonly in the states as "selectro" They look a bit different to a standard toyota one, but are supposed to be good hubs.
Here is a thread on them http://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-te ... ubs-2.html.

Make an offer if your keen. I'm in Taupo.

Cheers.

Hey mate ive got aisin hubs lying around.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.
