w56 no reverse gearbox options holden v6

has anyone ever swaped a w56 for a r150 i know it will need new bellhousing but will that be all its running a dellows kit now,

or is there another gearbox from the g or w family that would be stronger

reverse just goes bang real easy third box 8 months
last one was recon one cost a bit so was being easy on it

I would be checking the bell housing you have for accuracy. We have seen both dellows ande marks units that are miles out of being correct (up to 10 mm off ctr). Worth getting someone to put a gauge on it anyway.

yeah but wouldnt that affect all gears i have no trouble with forward gears, i could be wrong tho

yep, you would think so. Maybe you need to adjust the driving style a bit? Something is not quite right somewhere (not that that statemnet helps you any )

yeah i did with this box im not that hard on my truck anyways, had a rover v8 with same type box no probs

yeah i would but i woud rather run the toyota trans but cant find anyone who make bellhousing, only the holden trans to hilux transfer

Could be wrong (it has once before ), but I think I read somewhere that an Izusu auto bell housing will fit and I think the Izusu auto is an A340, which is the same as a Toyota unit. It would pay to check all this though.

yeah i talked to trans guy and the diesel ones run that trans not the v6 witch is a bugger
