I keep a 10 L garden pump sprayer in the back of my truck for situations like that, at the end of the day after airing up I start the truck up ..pump up the ol sprayer and use it to wash as much mud out of the fins as i can... makes a huge difference and generally is all thats needed to get you home or to the nearest power wash to do the job properly  also doubles as spare raditator water, windscreen, number plate/lights washer, hand washer and in a couple of cases sprayed over the rad fins of a boiling Zuk to bring down the temp. wouldn't go bush without it

I just got a cheap one from the whorehouse with the long arm on it to get right in behind the grill, think i paid about $20 for it .. :D

doesn't have the pressure to remove the large clumps of solid mud but will wash off the thin coat of watery mud/slop like whats covering the front of your whale   , even a thin coat of that sh*t can cause the rad to loose a lot of it's cooling ability.

Did woodhill on Saturday - Pretty quiet; didn't see anyone other than the patrol team the whole time we were there!

I swear this hill climb is a lot harder than it used to be!

Got shown an old water/foam fire extinguisher a week ago. Put water in it (no foam) pressurise it, fit a better directional nossle and you have a portable pressure sprayer for cleaning radiators etc. Can be refilled from anywhere and pressurised with on board air too.
