gear box ratios

Post by DJ »

ok... A brain teaser for those brighter than me ( everyone)
max engine revs 6500
1st gear ratio 2.785
2nd gear ratio 1.545
3rd gear ratio 1.000
4th gear ratio 0.694
diff ratio 3.67 then drives into another diff of 3.7 wheel size 33 inch run out of 2650cm (8'10")
Question... Whats the road speeds in each gear with max revs?
cheers

Theoretical speed = Engine RPM / primary reduction / final ratio / transmission gear ratio X (tire circumference in inches/12) X .011363

Should be close.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

and thats based on 100% effectiveness, not including under inflation, driveline friction, pinion/crown play etc etc etc
