Terrano shaky steering, bumpy ride

Post by u13turbo »

Ok so i was stuck for 4hours ish down the waimak today, took a 12,500lb winch with another stuck snatching me to get me out, that was allgood, but when i was driving home at 50kph the steering wheel shakes badly and then 70+ the steering wheel stops shaking and the whole truck judders up and down. I know terranos have weak front ends so im thinking its something to do with that? I havnt had a proper look yet, but what should i check first?

clean the mud off your drive line and inside of rims.

then go for a drive.

then if its still shaking a wheel alignment might be in order as the force of the winching has pushed the suspension geometry out.

if its a 1995ish model also change the bolts on the bottom of the front struts. before going for an alignment.
