WTD.. 80 series 3-4" front springs

Post by Big »

Howdy peeps,

I'm on the lookout for some lifted springs for my 80.. I'm thinking of around the 3-4" lift but if you have more I'd seriously look at them as my shocks will take a 6" lift
If you have some can you let me know..

cheers K

I'll have the front standards and not sure about the rears yet as it's sitting high in the rear atm..
In Queenstown too 8)
I'm just trying to balance it out as it's sitting low front wise.. only got about 20mm till bump stops start compressing.. .
Thats with the winch now on and I have a 45mm bump stop spacer too..

That would be good IF Pete would allow it.. He's saying they need to be held or captive so the it's like the original spring mount.. If I could do that then it would be a goer.. I think it would be better to have longer spirngs anyways.. I'll keep looking thanks anyways.. Cheers K

ok no worries. Might be worth a call to 4wd upgrade in Christchurch, the 6" kit I got was from a cruiser they were wrecking. $200 for shocks, springs, spacers and steering damper

Your going to all the trouble rebuilding the truck, why not get it all set up with bar work etc then lower the spring perches on the chassis to suit :?:

That is an option.. I'm just really not wanting the extra work in doing that as well.. but depending on the funding.. it might just happen..

I know what ya mean Id need a set of 100mm lift patrol springs ($400 for the pair new) just to get the front up to the same height as it sits with std 80 springs. Trouble is the 80 springs dont fit in my patrol spring mounts ive already welded on so ill be cutting them off an making new ones for the 80 springs intead of spending an extra $400
