Post by BigRedCruiser »

I wanna pimp the cruiser up a bit.
I want to paint the FRP top from faded white ( its going that gross color that old pcs nd whitewear go) to black.
Any ideas of a good paint/ primer for it & what method spray on, roll on, brush & 3 coats with a clear coth the way to go??
weird q but thanks =)

They are fibre glass so a good machine buff ( a poper machine like a car painter uses) would bring it back up. Fibre glass does not respond that well to heat and painting it black prob wont be the best. Team NZ did extensive medling with the boats to make them black and not bubble and bake themselves to bits.

But if you want to do it I would suggest a good fibre glass primer then undercoat and paint.
