as you may notice it isn't a 4wd



has a slightly hotted up version of the F10A engine they did some work to the head got an extra 2hp

i just sold my suzuki i am gonna miss it

Heres a photo of my Suzuki Jimny.
It is standard but has larger AT's.
I have a few mods planned but have to wait until I have the $$$.
It no longer has the nudge bar on it as it was attacked by a mattress.
This photo was taken after doing the Nevis Valley.

Here is our Vitara, out on it's 31's for the first time today. Still a few things to do before it goes to certification, but will not be long now.



31" BFG KM2's
75mm suspension lift (cheap vitara + 1" spacers)
65mm - 70mm body lift (50mm kit plus some packers)
Extended steering column
25mm prop shaft spacer
Rear disc brakes (Cheers Ben!)
Raised fuel tank
Still to come (just not bolted on yet) - steel front bar, warn 5000 winch, steel rock sliders.

What did you have to do to get that, were the braklines fine or were they extended? and what about the trailing rod? did you have to extend it at all?

Just I am looking at doing much the same thing minus the body lift.

I changed the handbrake cables to 5dr ones, but with the discs on the rear they might now be too long and I will probably swap back.

I also moved the brake line on the left guard down about 60mm (where it goes through the guard). There may be a further issue when I get the 75mm strut spacers (50mm on there at the moment), but they are still being put together.

Everything was installed while the suspension was at full extension.

Trailing arms - haven't changed those as yet. They are one of the things I have wondered about needing to change and will keep an eye on. There is a 75mm spacer between the diff and diff A arm.

So basically we will need to drive it for a bit and see if any other issues arise. And I am sure the certifier will highlight any obvious stuff ups - I am not a mechanic by any means so have allowed for a bit of extra certifier time.

The sides of the wheel arches will need to be trimmed (back of the front guards and front of the back guards). I need at least an inch clear all round at all articulation to allow for chains.

It is a 1996 model and has a few differences to most vitaras of this shape.

Also has a full 50mm exhaust straight through two hotdog style mufflers (not that they do much of that). And there is a K&N filter to be fitted as well.

No strut cap flip - tried it once, misunderstood what i was supposed to do and cocked it up. So put 50mm spacers in instead.

Without hijacking this thread too much, I have found a thread on the Shropshire Suzuki site that compares the stock trailing arms with ones from a 3" calmini kit - the distance from eye to eye is the same.

So not an issue I guess...

a few specs are custom suspension all round range rover front arms custom 4 link rear. toyota 3y motor, gbox, t case, diffs. at least half of it is zuke.

Well here is "MYZOOK".I got it last august drove it till xmas then put it off the road for a rebuild.

then it was time to pull it apart for the rebuld
Chucked it onto the trailer to get a new coat of paint.
gotta love green
Stared to put all the bits back on.Re fabed the front bars so they didn't stick out so wide and dropped the top bar down a bit

yeah thats my zook, they came from auzie and they are 2 x rear wrangler ones with the front one trimmed up they certainly do the job but are a bit fragile when tip on your side in a ditch or the likes and can rip off.I have side bars around mine, just didnt have them on at the time of the photos. Garden edging works great to and is cheap as chips

yeah thats my zook, they came from auzie and they are 2 x rear wrangler ones with the front one trimmed up they certainly do the job but are a bit fragile when tip on your side in a ditch or the likes and can rip off.I have side bars around mine, just didnt have them on at the time of the photos. Yeah I was thinking about conveyor belt but bein as the tyres stick out a good eight inches from the body it may make at a bit difficult, that and I like things to look factory ish, if I use the conveyor and incorporate it into some rub bars it will be bloody hard not to make it look like a pontoon boat!!!
