Went out and set up 20 courses for our local club competition, had 4 others turn up to help, got through them pritty quickly despite the nissan's needing recovery during the setup!!

Nice mix of up/down hills, mud bog's, creek crossing and sidlings! Should be a good day tomorrow! I'll try to get some pic's for you all...

Yes a succuessful day at Woodhill, no breakages during the day and the truck went great and drove almost everything well the Toyota Hilux that was with me did anyway. So in all it was one of the better days up there.

Also there are some new tracks at Woodhill 4WDrive park most of them are clay which will be interesting in the winter time and there is a wicked down hill, so check them out.

I will post some footage as soon as I get it.

Cheers.

Still havnt got round to doing the cruiser oil but will tomorrow.

Fixed cracked breather hose on the petrol tank of the landy, last owner had just used cheap plastic hose so no wonder it didnt last.

also figured out whats up with the front of the landy, clean break of the stub shaft. Many thanks to simon (sibainmud) for helping me and for giving me some ideas on where to put the second battery. Your help was much appreciated.

Caught up on some odd jobs around the house.
Put in some coils in the rear of the Prado... Changed from OME 80 series (220lb and too bouncy) to some custom King Springs donated to me by Jeremy.(Thanks mate !)
They make all the difference.
Trying to find a spot to mount the new / old PRS radio.
Made a donation to the Chch earthquake appeal. (Not much we can do from up here, but thinking of you all)

Well I'm sure if there were workers around they would be pleased you were slowed down. And if it seems there weren't any, how do you know?

You would've still been breaking the limit had it been a 100km/h zone ;)

I have another 4 months till I get mine back - it sucks.

As for the weekend, spent sat night in Taupo with my old man who got to meet my son for the first time.

Taupo really put it on weather wise - if there was more industry type work I would move down there

Had nice little sunday drive round some classic northland farm land with the BOI club. First drive of the truck since October  .

Plenty of fun, no damage (although my previously terminaly ill auto is now ready for the scrap heap). Drove most things except the stuff that we did just for an excuse to get the winch out, which was never going to be driven.

oh yeah got in the passenger seat of a truck to go round the undrivable winch section and he promptly rolled on the gully entry  after I had driven it no dramas
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

Means I got a good vehicle for unformed road recceing in a couple of weeks. :D well better than a standard LWB Pajero
