terrano steering damper or dampner how ever you say it,

ok terrano question, i have brought a steering dampner and there is a mounting point on the drag link but where does the other end mount?? anyone have some pictures??

You have the "eye, eye" one?
I drilled and bolted it to the left chassis rail.
The end can be seen in some of my steering pics.
It is in such a place that the idler arm just missed it.

cool thanks i have mounted it, but when engine is at idel and i turn the wheel you can hear the power steer pump working like when your on full lock,

I had to muck around with the drag link end to get it to work.
I fitted my own bush in that end to off set it forwards in order to get the eye of the damper to not bind on the draglink bracket.
In other words, I made a eccentric bush to get it work right.
Jack it up with both front wheels off the ground and run engine while getting someone to turn lock to lock and see whats going on.
